As a singer himself, and member of the former band "United Colours of Sound", John has performed at the Commonwealth Games, Buckingham Palace, Rugby World Cup, 20/20 Cricket, and recorded several theme tunes for ITV, Channel 4, and Sky Sports, appearing on official sporting anthems such as "Swing Low"(rugby world cup), and "Ain't No Stopping Us Now"(commonwealth games). John has also recorded backing vocals for artists such as Will Young, UB40, and Gareth Gates.

John was born in England, and raised in Canada, it was there where he discovered his talent and love of singing, getting lead roles in musicals from an early age. Returning to London England in 1995, he pursued a career and education in music, namely singing. He was mentored by singers and celebrity vocal coaches, "David and Carrie Grant". Through their guidance and expertise, John was able to cultivate his gift and learn how to use his voice more efficiently. John was later asked to become a member of David and Carrie's band "United Colours of Sound"(UCS), where he flourished and later developed a desire to pass on his knowledge. He was then given an opportunity to share his skills in a teaching capacity, as vocal coach and TV personality on Simon Fuller’s "Pop Idol". The rest as they say...is history!
